How do your fees work?
I offer two programme tracks with standard, transparent fees. You can pay monthly or pay-in-full (which includes a saving). Longer commitments come with a lower monthly amount. We’ll recommend the most suitable option after your consultation and share your proposal privately.
What types of programmes do you offer?
-
From Pain to Performance — for people who want to get out of pain or perform at their best. This track includes in-person assessments and exercise/technique coaching alongside lifestyle and recovery work.
-
Clear, Calm & Energised — for people with health challenges such as persistent pain, digestion issues, and skin concerns. This track focuses on nutrition, lifestyle and emotional work, with functional testing when helpful. (Hands-on sessions are optional add-ons if appropriate and you can attend in person.)
Do you work online or in person?
-
Both. Most coaching is online. Movement assessments and any hands-on manual therapies are in-person at my Hertfordshire clinic.
Where are you based?
Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire—about 10 minutes from J25 of the M25 and a short walk from Broxbourne and Rye House stations (served from London Liverpool Street and London Stratford).
What hours are you available?
Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00–18:00 (online). Saturday mornings (in person).
How do I book an initial consultation?
Share your details here: https://www.bodychek.co.uk/consultation/
You’ll complete health questionnaires before scheduling so we can make the best use of our time.
Can I get directions?
By car: https://bit.ly/DirectionsShawePhysio
Nearest stations: Broxbourne & Rye House (about a 7-minute walk) – on the London Liverpool Street and London Stratford to Hertford East train route.
Can I come for a one-off session?
Meaningful change usually needs a structured programme. I generally work with clients who are ready to commit to a plan. Existing clients can book additional hands-on or coaching sessions as needed. If you’re visiting the South-East briefly, contact me and I’ll advise what’s realistic.
What should I wear for a biomechanical assessment?
Clothing that allows clear view of head/neck, torso, legs and feet. Men: shorts. Women: shorts and a crop top/sports bra. Tie long hair up.
How long will results take?
It depends on severity, duration, lifestyle factors, training history and readiness to change. We’ll set clear goals and review progress regularly (typically every ~8 weeks). Some see meaningful change in 90 days; complex issues may take longer.
Do you offer hands-on manual therapies?
Yes—when clinically indicated and in-person only. Programmes include a complimentary allowance, and additional sessions can be added if needed. We’ll discuss what’s appropriate for your case.
Are lab tests included?
Labs are optional and billed separately. Where testing is useful, I’ll interpret your results within your programme.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
I don’t offer a blanket money-back guarantee. Instead, I focus on clear goals, consistent coaching, and a simple upgrade path if you wish to continue beyond your initial term.
Can I upgrade my programme later?
Yes. You can move to a longer term with a simple Top-Up (a one-time payment). Your current programme runs to its end; the longer one starts the day after. No refunds or credits are required.
What’s your cancellation policy?
24-hour cancellation policy. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice—or no-shows—are deemed used. Programmes run continuously (no pauses).
Do you work with clients outside Hertfordshire or overseas?
Yes. Many clients work with me remotely. For movement assessment/technique work, some travel in every couple of months and continue online between visits.
