In addition, to having a very busy client schedule at BodyCHEK this month, I have been travelling and presenting too.
We have been inundated with new enquiries in the last two months and we are making our way through analysing client questionnaires and consultations. I’m so glad I am able to help people optimise their health and fitness so they can lead a more productive, fulfilling and happy life.
On the 6-7th September I travelled to CHEK Europe HQ in Lancashire to deliver The Anatomy and Physiology workshop to the Year 1 Academy students.
After being back seeing clients for 3 days, I was off again, this time to Denmark. I attended the Inspire Convention in Hillerod, Denmark. I delivered a pre-convention workshop on the Friday, followed by two 2-hour presentations on the Saturday and Sunday.
The pre-convention workshop was entitled “The CHEK Approach to Holistic Health & Performance”. The workshop gave the Danish attendees an overview of how we work as CHEK Practitioners in a truly holistic manner and why we are so successful with our clients. It went down really well, although the students found it a little tiring having to translate technical information from English into Danish. They did a great job too and most of them came back for more and attended all of our presentations over the weekend.
On Saturday, I delivered, “Flatten Your Abs Forever” and “A Holistic Approach to Knee Pain”. The classes were well attended with approximately 60% physiotherapists and 40% personal trainers. It’s so good to see such open minded professionals and it was obvious they could see how the information could benefit them in their work.
On Sunday, I delivered “Scientific Shoulder Training” and “Effective Flexibility Training” which again was well attended and the attendees seemed to appreciate the information. It was quite interesting to see a delayed reaction to my jokes. At first, I thought it was ‘tumble weed’ territory, only for the laughter to start about 5 seconds later due to the delay in translating from English to Danish.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable and successful weekend.
Thanks to Gavin Jennings, owner of CHEK Europe who chauffeured me around and cooked some very tasty meals, so I could focus on preparing and delivering the presentations.
After travelling back to London on Monday this week, I relaxed for the rest of the day and I came back to a very busy day yesterday which included a consultation with a client in Saudi Arabia, an assessment of a new client, a business meeting, a workout in the gym and an Active Release® Technique treatment on a a new client.
Now I have the next two weekends off after working the last four, so I plan to kick back and get some time in the great outdoors.
Until next time…
