If you have read my book, “The Coronavirus Survival Guide: The Secrets & Power of Your Immune System“, (that is FREE to download) you will know that pollution seemed to increase the likelihood for complications with SARS-COV-2.
Whilst we are talking about the immune system, we must discuss air pollution. What has become clear from the areas worst affected by COVID-19 is the levels of pollution. Wuhan and northern Italy in particular are notorious for bad air quality and as we know, they were hit very hard.
Whether it is due to cigarette smoke, household toxins, car fumes or industrial pollution, the air we breathe is full of toxins and contaminants these days.
The more toxins we have in our bodies, the more resources are required for detoxification processes, leaving less resources for our immune systems.
It is quite a challenge if you live in a built-up area to have clean air. To make things worse, our homes, workplaces and cars are often more polluted than air outside. Things like carpets, furniture, glues etc, outgas toxins into our environment that we then breathe in.
Whilst it would not be sensible for me to suggest that you refrain from breathing, there are some things you can do to optimise the air you breathe:
Get out in nature (local park/forest/beach) as much as you can
Use an air filter at home/work (if possible)
Diffuse essential oils at home/work/car
Use bees wax candles at home (not scented candles)
Give up smoking or vaping
