A large-scale academic study has concluded that there is “no threat of increased COVID-19 spread” at fitness facilities, even when intensive training takes place.

This research does question why the UK government has opened up pubs and not gyms, health clubs, leisure centres and private training studios.

It’s not really surprising evidence considering it has been shown that asymptomatics are extremely unlikely to spread the virus and spreading the virus via surface contact is extremely unlikely too.

I guess the study gives those under 65 without co-morbidities a sense of confidence that getting back to the gym provides little risk, whilst providing many health benefits.

I am certainly really looking forward to getting to work with my clients face to face.
