In this week’s episode of the Radical Health Rebel Podcast, I spoke with Tina McDermott who spent most of her life struggling with digestive issues. She didn’t understand that the embarrassing gas, bloating, constipation, and yo-yo weight gain/loss she had since she was a teenager were all interconnected and thought that it was just ‘the way it is’, and that she had to live with it.
When Tina learned that she had Lyme disease, which had gone undetected for years and wreaked havoc on her health along with digestive issues, she also suffered from extreme chronic fatigue, depression, vertigo, fevers, weight gain and ultimately Hashimoto’s disease.
Tina’s inspiration for her own wellness journey began when her older sister Anna was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 23 and ultimately took her at the age of 48. Anna’s illness and suffering was a wake-up call for Tina to learn more about how to take better care of her own health, and help others as well.
We discussed:
- Tina’s Journey
- Lyme Disease
- Depression, Vertigo, & Hashimoto’s Related to Lyme Disease.
- Tina’s Life Changing Moment
- Facing Challenges
