On Sunday I went to watch the Johnstone Paints Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.
I went to watch my former client Alan Connell who plays for Swindon Town. Swindon were playing against Chesterfield who whilst being in the league above Swindon are looking like being relegated from Division 1 this season, whilst Swindon are looking hot favourites to win Division 2.
Unfortunately, despite having most of the possession and playing the much prettier football, Swindon ended up losing 2-0, including a 94th minute second goal for Chesterfield after the referee failed to see a blatant fail on Connell.
Despite it not being the result I was hoping for, it was a great day out and it was my first visit to the new Wembley Stadium. It is a truly amazing stadium.
So I am now looking forward to seeing Swindon win League 2 this season and to my second visit to Wembley Stadium this year to watch one of the opening round football matches at The Olympic Games.
