AspirinYou may have seen in the media recently the results of studies showing that taking 75mg of Aspirin on a daily basis reduces the likelihood of some cancers by up to 40%.

That sounds great. However, there is little attention paid to the fact that aspirin is also known to cause gastrointestinal ulcers, stomach bleeding, and tinnitus, especially in higher doses.

Did you know that sugar, over-cooking meats, toxic chemicals like non-stick cookware, most toiletries, perfumes and make-up, mercury fillings, soy, genetically modified foods, microwaves, mobile phones and wi-fi, just to name a few have all been shown to cause cancer.

If I was a little cynical, I might think that the trillion dollar industry that is the pharmaceutical industry were trying to frighten us to spend more money to boost their profits.

The choice is yours. Spend money on a drug that might cause internal bleeding to minimise the risk of a disease you might never have or make some better lifestyle choices that will prevent you from becoming unwell in the first place?

What’s your choice?
