The weekend of 23rd, 24th and 25th March saw Paul Chek deliver a 3 day seminar to exercise professionals at Bisham Abbey Sports Centre in Buckinghamshire. A group of CHEK Practitioners including myself assisted Paul and the Paul Chek Seminars UK team delivering the seminars.

Day One was programme design, an area of much controversy and confusion generally. I am sure the audience left with a much better understanding of designing great exercise programmes for their clients. Paul clearly explained how to prescribe exercises, reps, sets and tempo for each stage of training. It never ceases to amaze me how Paul always manages to come up with things with a new slant even when I have heard him do the same lecture time after time.

Day Two was Dynamic Medicine Ball Training and a much more active day. I am sure there were many sore muscles on the following Sunday and Monday. Medicine Ball training is a great way to improve speed of movement and power and is really good fun too!

Day Three was Scientific Golf Conditioning. Paul clearly explained the importance of a good functioning body on golf performance and injury prevention. The day ended with muscle length assessments and appropriate stretching techniques. Stretching not only enables lengthening of muscles, but relaxation and increase of Chi (energy) flow.

It was a really enjoyable weekend and was a great opportunity to meet up with friends and colleagues.

I am sure there were many attendees who were inspired enough to take up studying the CHEK system.
