Whether it’s the spare tyre, love handles, man-boobs, thunder thighs, bingo wings or cellulite, they’re always something we just don’t want to see.
If you are one of the majority of people who want to lose body weight, it is imperative to understand that it is not as simple as exercising more or eating less, reducing fat intake, eating low fat or negative calorie balance.
These advice tips from many experts whilst well meaning are simply not accurate.
What must be understood is that the body has a self-preserving mechanism by which to spare your internal organs, glands and nervous system, the toxins in your body are stored in your fat cells.
Your fat cells (if you have too many of them) are not essential to survival, but your organs, glands and nervous system are. So it is far more intelligent that your body stores toxins in your fat cells than anywhere else.
The down-side to this is when you want to reduce body fat, you need to detox to allow the body to release the excess body fat. What can happen when someone loses weight too quickly is that they might poison themselves over-stressing the liver, which can be very dangerous.
I’m not suggesting that detoxing is all you need to do to lose weight. However, it is a very important part of the process.
