Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I went to St George’s Hospital Teaching College to observe a cadaver dissection focusing on the abdominal region of the body.

It was very interesting to see the thickness of fascia and muscle tissue in the body and to feel how amazingly strong these tiny structures are. I highly recommend to anybody working in the health and fitness industry to go along and see these in the flesh (no pun intended). It is a great way to get a better understanding of anatomy.

Dr. Kerry Walsh performed the dissection and he has a wealth of knowledge on the body having performed many dissections. It was great to get a view from someone who actually works on the inside of the body.

I would quite like to see a dissection of the shoulder, neck and face which can cause many injuries throughout the body.

Any how, this will be my last post before I go to California. I hope to keep you posted whilst I am there
