If you are one of the many people today who are overweight and finding it difficult to lose those excess kilos, there may be a reason that you might not have considered until now.

As part of our survival mechanism, when our detoxification systems are unable to dispose of toxic materials in the body, the toxins are transported away from our vital organs. This is the good news as it helps prevent illness and keeps us alive. The bad news is that the toxins are transported to and stored in our fat cells.

The more toxic someone is, the more difficult it can be to lose body fat. This often leads to frustration in the inability to reduce bodyweight. The general rule of being able to safely lose 1kg of body fat per week is often used as a guide to setting time goals for reducing body fat. However, it can sometimes take three or even six months and sometimes more for someone to detoxify. It is only when the detoxification process begins to take place, will the body allow the fat to reduce as the fat is then not so vital for toxin storage. Fat loss is NOT as simple as calories in and calories out.

I have spent many years helping people to reduce body fat and there is a clear process to follow to detoxify. Here’s what I advise my clients to do:

  1. Eat right for their metabolic type®
  2. Eat a 100% organic diet
  3. Drink plenty of filtered or high quality mineral water
  4. Avoid alcohol, coffee, pasteurised dairy, tap water and processed sugar
  5. Test for fungal, bacteria and parasite infections
  6. Use a shower filter
  7. Appropriate exercise
  8. Have metal fillings replaced by a Holistic Dentist.
  9. Use Mi Essense Organic Toiletries

What many people are unaware of is the amount of toxic chemicals in our toiletry products. Below are some of the common dangerous chemicals found in every day toiletry and make-up products that we take for granted and believe are safe:

Alcohol/Isopropyl SD-40, Aluminium, Chlorine, Coal Tar Colours, Fluoride, Formaldehyde, Lanolin, Lead, Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Paraben, Phenylenediamines, Propylene Glycol (PPG or PEG), Phthalates, Quarternary,  Ammonium Compounds, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Synthetic Fragrance and Talc.

These chemicals also alter our hormonal systems which disrupts normal function and fat burning potential. Next time you take a shower, check your toiletries and see if they contain the above toxic ingredients. If they do, I suggest switching to Mi Essense Organic Toiletries which you will probably find you prefer to your current toxic products.
